At Groen Gas Goor in Goor, the Netherlands, AGEERA is deploying a 2.4 MW / 5.0 MWh battery energy storage system, the first of three Dutch sites totaling 20 MWh.
Located within a biogas and biomass facility and fully managed by AGEERA’s EMS, the system optimizes charging, discharging, and market participation in real time.
Smart Market Optimization:
Operates by day-ahead market prices, enabling energy arbitrage and ancillary grid services
for improved returns.
Making use of the existing connection at the location of a renewable energy installation enables grid stabilisation without the need for a separate grid connection, thus reducing connection costs and preventing the need for a new connection in an already gridlocked area.
Grid Stability and Reliability:
Connected to the on-site MV switchgear, with autonomous control ensuring stable operation and continuous performance.
This project marks AGEERA’s first European deployment, showcasing turnkey EMS + BESS solutions that drive the Dutch transition to a smarter, low-carbon energy system.
